A Right Royal Cleanup

8th May 2023, 10:00 - 12:00

To mark the coronation of King Charles III, on Monday 8th May the Dell Quay Environmental sub group are encouraging members to spend a maximum of 2 hours at the club to litter pick on the quay, the beach, the footpath towards Fishbourne and the dinghy park as part of the Big Help Out!

Whether you are a royalist or not the principle behind communities and volunteers coming together to improve their local area is a great one.

We will be one of a number of Sailing Clubs all the way around the harbour taking part in this initiative.

Get together with friends or family, or get out on your own - it's totally up to you.

Please let us know how many of you are taking part by filling in our registration form for everyone in your group just the number is required. It doesn't matter if this is not exact, or if someone can't make it on the day - but it gives us an idea of how many people are involved.

Hot drinks and cake will be available.

The meeting point for this organised event is in Dell Quay Sailing Club house at 10.00am. If you want to join in later please ring Sue on 07742532970 when you arrive.

You will need:

  • Tough gloves
  • A litter picker if you have one - don't worry if not, you can just use your (gloved) hands we will have a few litter pickers, gloves and bags available,
  • Sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate to the weather

Thank you for your participation The DQSC Environment subgroup
