Ocean rowing at Dell Quay
Ever wondered exactly how much planning and training goes into rowing the Atlantic?
Ever wondered how you sleep or what the on board facilities are like!
Come and find the answer to these and many other question at the Clubhouse on the 2nd December 2023.
The event is being held to celebrate the countdown to Jon, Steve, Dan and Jason taking on the Atlantic Challenge in December 2024.
As many of you will know Jon and Steve are both teachers and just to make the challenge harder they have undertaken to run lessons from the boat.
Come and support them on their journey as they wave the Dell Quay flag across the Atlantic.
Their boat will be on the water and available to view along with some of the kit they will need during the voyage.
The team will be available to answer questions and will give a short presentation explaining what their aims are and what motivated them to take on the challenge.
Food and refreshments will be available from the bar and the galley.
There is no charge for entry but to help gauge numbers please can we ask you to book on SCM.
Dependant on the weather there may even be an opportunity to try the boat.
